Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of our website and tutoring services.

Last updated 13 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NanoTutors website and the tutoring services provided by [Company Name] ("we", "us"). By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. About us

[Company Name] is registered in England and Wales, company registration number [Company Registration Number], registered address [Registered Address]. You can contact us at [Contact Email].

2. Our service

We provide one to one online tutoring matched to a student's curriculum, along with progress tracking and tutor reviewed revision notes and practice materials. Lessons are delivered online at times arranged with you.

3. Accounts

Accounts are provisioned and activated by us as the provider. Signing up through the website registers your interest and creates a pending account; we activate the account and provide login details once it is ready. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please tell us promptly at [Contact Email] if you think your account has been used without your permission.

4. Acceptable use

  • Use the service lawfully and respectfully.
  • Do not share your account access with others. Lessons are for the named student.
  • Do not disrupt the service or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it.
  • Do not copy, redistribute or sell materials provided to you.

5. Booking and cancellation

Lessons are scheduled by us together with you. If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson, please tell us as early as possible. The cancellation and rescheduling notice period that applies to your plan will be confirmed to you when your plan is set up.

6. Fees and billing

Fees are based on the plan agreed for the student, which covers the subject, level and number of lessons per week. Billing is tracked from the lessons a student actually attends and is recorded in the portal. No payment is taken online through this website; invoices and payment are handled separately with you. We may change our prices, and we will give reasonable notice before a change applies to you.

7. AI features

We use AI to help our tutors draft revision notes and practice papers. Every AI draft is reviewed by a human tutor before it is shared with a student. AI is triggered only by our staff or tutors, server side. Students do not have open or direct access to AI tools through the service.

8. Intellectual property

The website, its content and the learning materials we provide are owned by us or our licensors. Materials prepared for a student are for that student's personal educational use and may not be redistributed, published or sold.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance or make changes to the service from time to time.

10. Limitation of liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access where these Terms are breached or where it is reasonably necessary. When access ends, you will no longer be able to use the portal, and we will keep records as set out in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page with a "Last updated" date. If you continue to use the service after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.
